6. What is a Blugold?

A blugold is the culmination of the school colors put into one word. (Blue and Gold) There have actually been a wide variety of mascots dating back to the beginning of the University. The blugold is often portrayed as a fighting bird of blue and gold color. I think it’s supposed to be some big metaphor about how we’re all one, and everyone is part of what is the blugold spirit.
